Course 2: Reconciling CAM Audit Workshop I

Landlord billing statements are diverse and detailed, requiring a technical understanding of calculation and application methodologies defined by the Lease agreement. Our lease audit expert will lend attendees his years of experience working with a wide variety of leases in an array of audit situations. Reconciling CAM Workshop I will focus on desktop audit techniques for commercial tenants in big box and small shop leases. It will help participants design processes to manage workflow and quickly and efficiently complete audits. Attendees will review and apply practical examples for conducting an audit. Part one of this two-course offers an overview of desktop audit best practices, lease audit abstracting and documenting audit adjustments for ease of understanding. Our expert will lead you through review, calculation, and adjustment of GLA schedules. Attendees will review all components of annual expense reconciliation and learn time saving techniques to greatly increase the ROI of the desktop lease audit. The group will also discuss thoughtful approaches to working with internal and external partners to improve results.

The session will include hands-on examples and discussion to help improve the attendee’s understanding of the entire process.

Course 3: Reconciling CAM Audit Workshop II

This leading industry audit expert will expand on the ideas discussed in CAM Audit Workshop I to more fully develop best practice techniques to help attendees build their lease audit skillset.  Course attendees will review and apply practical examples for conducting the audit including: Calculation and analysis of a variety of caps and limitations, recommendations for best practice portfolio audit management, letter-writing and audit resolution techniques designed to increase the ROI of the desktop lease audit program.

The session will include hands-on examples and discussion to help improve the attendee’s understanding.
