Lawrence A. Farese, Esq. graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University, cum laude, in 1974, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. He attended the University of Miami School of Law from which he graduated, cum laude, in 1977 and served on the Editorial Board of the University of Miami Law Review. Following graduation from law school, Larry joined the firm of Cummings & Lockwood and continued to practice with that firm for 27 years.
In January 2005, Larry joined Robins Kaplan LLP as a partner. He currently heads the firm’s Florida litigation practice and serves as Managing Partner of the firm’s Naples office. Larry is certified by the Florida Bar as a Board-certified Civil Trial Lawyer and Board-certified Business Litigation Lawyer. Over the past 40-plus years, he has tried a wide variety of complex business and probate cases to verdict, including product liability, business tort, employment, contract partnership, construction, healthcare, will and trust contests, constructive trust, and breach of fiduciary duty cases.
Larry is a Fellow of the prestigious International Academy of Trial Lawyers and a member of its Board of Directors. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America in Business Litigation and Bet the Company Litigation and has been named a “Florida Super Lawyer” in Business Litigation each year since 2006. He was named by Best Lawyers as the “Fort Myers Area Bet-the-Company Litigator of the Year” for 2010. In 2012, he was honored with The Donald E. Van Koughnet “Lion of the Law” Award for Professionalism presented by the Collier County Judiciary.
Larry is the Past President of the Trial Lawyers Section of the Collier County Bar Association, Past President of the Collier County Chapter of The American Inns of Court, and Past Chairman of the Grievance Committee of the Twentieth Judicial Circuit of Florida.
