DEB Shops located in Philadelphia, PA Manager of Lease Administration (Posted on: July 09, 2010) Deb Shops, Inc., a national retail clothing chain with over 300 stores in 43 states is seeking a Manager of Lease Administration. The position will report to the Vice President of Real Estate and will also work closely with the Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer and the Vice President, General Counsel.
Primary job responsibilities include:
- Assist Real Estate Department with the on-going management of entire real estate portfolio
- Review, audit, reconcile and process all lease related billings and negotiate settlement of disputed charges with Landlord representatives
- Abstracting and analysis of all leases and amendments
- Administrate and maintain Lease Accounting Database to include initial input and updating of all relevant lease covenants, action dates and payment data
- Financial analysis and reporting of all lease related charges and negotiated savings
- Process Estopples and SNDA’s
- Manage third party utility consultant, track and report savings
- Perform co-tenancy audits
- Oversee default notices and manage cure timelines
- Assist all departments with lease interpretation and analysis when required
Requirements:
- A Bachelors degree and minimum of five (5) years experience in lease administration, preferably with a retail or commercial real estate company
- Strong computer skills to include proficiency in Excel and data base management
- Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret lease language, and working knowledge of lease accounting and real estate law
